Young Musicians Competition 2012

On Saturday the 18th February the District 1240 Young Musicians Competition was held at Chelmsford Cathedral.  It is unfortunate the the young lady who won our competition last year was too old to represent our Club in this year’s competition. Also the two runners up at our last years competition were also too old. We were fortunate however to have the young man who was awarded the Ron Joice Commerative Shield who was eligible to represent our Club.  He is Robert Moseley who played playing two pieces of Music on the Euphonium.  The two pieces that he chose are “My love is like a red red rose” and “Grandfathers clock” and he played them so well that he was afforded first prize.
