Rotary Club Of Romford Blog August 20th 2015

On Sunday afternoon several club members, together with family and friends, neighbours attended a tea party at a member’s home.

A huge selection of homemade cakes and scones tempted the guests, who sat in the host’s newly redesigned garden – the weather stayed fine!

On display at the front of the house was a small classic car named “Chummy”, which was admired by the guests, many of whom had photos taken in and around the vehicle. This raised money for charity as did the tombola and book stall.

Money raised for local charities was in excess of £300.

The event was intended to raise awareness of Rotary and its activities among local residents, and as such was widely advertised by the host. It was an enjoyable, memorable afternoon.
